What if I have questions about the various massages and body treatments?
Feel free to ask the front desk personnel or your massage therapist for more information about any style of massage or body treatment we offer.
When should I arrive?
Please arrive about 15 minutes early for your first appointment to allow time to fill out the information form. After that, arrive about 5 minutes before your session.
What if I have special health considerations?
Prior to your first session, we will ask you to fill out a health questionnaire so that we are aware of any health condition that may be adversely affected by massage. Your private health information will be kept confidential and will not be available to anyone other than your therapist and our staff. If you have any concerns at all, please let us know. If at any time during your massage you experience discomfort, please alert your therapist immediately.
What should I wear during my treatment?
Please wear whatever is comfortable for you. It is all right to undress completesly. During all treatments, the body is fully covered, except for the area being worked on. Before and after your treatment, the therapist will leave the room while you undress or dress.
What about my comfort?
This is your time, so feel free to discuss anything that affects your enjoyment of the session, whether it's the room temperature, the volume of the music, or if you need a pillow or bolster. Please turn off your cell phone or pager while in our facility.
What about my jewelry and valuables?
Please don't wear expensive jewelry or bring other valuables to your massage session. If necessary, place them in your handbag or pockets of your clothing during your massage.
Is there a minimum age for treatments?
Local regulations require written consent from a parent or legal guardian for all clients under 18 years of age. It is our goal to provide a quiet atmosphere, so there is no provision for child-care and unattended children are not permitted in the facility.
Should I shave before a treatment?
Shaving is not recommended immediately prior to any massage or body treatments. For men who are planning to receive a facial treatment be sure to shave at least two (2) hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
What if I am late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be charged.
What is the cancellation policy?
If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us before your scheduled appointment to avoid being charged the full service fee. If we receive notice early enough we may be able to schedule a different client for the therapist.
What if I am pregnant?
While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed. Please notify us if you are pregnant when you make your appointment so that we can offer guidance.
Are gift certificates available from the spa?
Absolutely. You may purchase spa gift certificates for a specific dollar amount or for particular services. The spa gift certificates can be used towards services or towards purchases in our Spa Boutique.
What about gratuities?
Gratuities are a matter of personal discretion. If you want to give a tip to your therapist, please include it with your payment at the front desk. The full amount of the tip will be given to the therapist; we do not deduct anything from any therapist's tips.
What about payment for Spa services?
We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, personal checks, cash and traveler's checks.
May I ask my therapist to come to my home to give me a massage?
If you would like a home visit, please make arrangements with the front desk. These services are available to a limited area.
